...and I gotta say, it could've been a lot worse. I've read a bunch of flames and people saying the movie is going to suck and "My childhood is raped!!!11 BAWWWW"

Jeez.

First off the movie is Dragonball, not Dragonball Z so of course Vegeta isn't going to be in it, and they're not going super saiyan. If you would read what the actors have said about it you would get it. They said that this is the movie to introduce the characters and basically be a springboard for the following ones. If they had gone straight to DBZ then you'd all be BAWWWing that they didn't do that right either anyway.

So about the movie. As I said it had the potential to be a heck of a lot worse. Some of the scenes were a little cheesy ( the whole doing the kamehameha wave to light the torches so that Goku could kiss Chichi 9_9) but the fight scenes were pretty sweet.

I was a little disappointed with how short it was. The Oozaru transformation was a little iffy for me too. Yamcha was hilarious, and the actor got the dub voice right on. Justin Chatwin is a good Goku, he's a little stiff though in the acting department.

I'm glad Bulma's hair wasn't electric blue in the movie because the movie isn't a cartoon and it would've looked out of place to have her hair ZOMG-glow-in-the-dark blue.

Other then that I thought it was a decent movie. Much better than Twilight
